Delhi, the heart of Delhi NCR enjoys the biggest spread of schools in the region. Admissions are relatively difficult in Delhi given that DoE has good control over the criteria for admissions allowing everyone equal opportunities to get admissions to the schools. What makes Delhi schools even more special is the relatively lower fees in most of the schools that have branches in Noida, Gurgaon or Faridabad as well. Some schools like Shriram and Heritage that have schools in other cities in Delhi NCR have relatively lower fees in Delhi for example. Having said that, due to the presence of embassies and delegates of different nations, there are some schools that are popular among them and the other affluent communities. The British school New Delhi
School happens to be one of the costliest school in whole of Delhi NCR. The fees is a staggering 11lakh plus for admission year along with tuition fees of almost 10 lakhs every year. The school has been host to some of the well known Indian celebrities and politicians as well.
American Embassy school New Delhi
The school has been running since 1963 and was an idea of few American nationals staying in India. The school adopted American International School (AIS) name during early 1960s and later became American Embassy school considering the associations with the American Embassy in Delhi. This is a mission specific school with some reservations and scholarships for under represented missions. The curriculum adopted is naturally IB. Most of the students are from foreign origins but few are Indians as well.
The fees for the school is a staggering 18-20 lakhs a year which makes it to the list of top 2 costliest schools in Delhi.
DPS international school Saket New Delhi
The school follows Cambridge curriculum. The fees for admission year is almost 5.5 lakhs while fees for other academic year includes tuition fees and annual charges of approximately 3.4 lakhs a year.
Sanskriti school Chanakyapuri New Delhi
The school situated in Chanakyapuri follows CBSE curriculum and fees for the school is an average of 20k per month. The yearly fees of 2.5 lacs a month is still decent considering the name this school has attained for itself in last decade or so.
Heritage school Rohini New Delhi
The school follows CBSE curriculum. The fees for school is decent considering the high fees it has in Gurgaon and Noida. Fees is around 15k per month and around 2 lakhs a year which is costly in context of Delhi but much cheaper than what Heritage school has in Gurgaon and Noida (Fees there is around 3-3.5 lakhs).
Shriram school Vasant vihar
The school is rated among the top 5 schools in day boarding category in India. It has fees falling in same bracket as Heritage school (Around 2 lacs a year including tuition fees and annual fees), again, quite cheaper compared to what it has in Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad. The school though is not very transparent with fees.
Mothers International school New Delhi
The school is situated at Aurobindo marg and one of the most preferred choice for the area. The school follows CBSE and has a fees of around 15k per month and turns out to be between 1.5 lakhs to 2 lakhs a year depending upon the class the child is enrolled in.
Schools like Apeejay school in Sheikh Sarai, Modern school in Model town also have slightly expensive fees in comparison to other schools in Delhi.
