Is your delivered/partially delivered project sufficiently green?
The bye laws of different authorities have laid down a guideline for ensuring sufficient greenery in a group housing project.
Below are the rules governing the same in Noida and Greater Noida:
Plot Size | Number of mandatory trees | Minimum open space to be kept for landscaping |

Less than 0.5 Acres | One tree per 100 square meter of open space (approx 1 tree per 10 meter of open space) out of which minimum 50% trees to be evergreen nature. | 25% of open area. |
Less than 3 Acres | One tree per 100 square meter of open space (approx 1 tree per 10 meter of open space) out of which minimum 50% trees to be evergreen nature. | 25% of open area. |
More than 3 Acres | One tree per 100 square meter of open space (approx 1 tree per 10 meter of open space) out of which minimum 50% trees to be evergreen nature. | 50% of open area. |
*Evergreen tree means a tree that remains green throughout the year. They shed leaves very slowly throughout the year and have a minimum height of 2 meters with well distinguished trunk.
You may argue with your builder in case you feel the greenery provided is insufficient.
