Before we delve more into the list, it is worth mentioning that no school would like to bear loss beyond the initial couple of years. , These are the major expenses for a school during its functioning –
Factors affecting fees of a school –
- Salaries of teachers
- Salaries of support staff
- Salaries of medical staff if any
- Salaries of drivers and conductors
- Bus fleet expenses if self owned
- Cost of infra and its maintenance
- Cost of teaching aids and material
- Other administration expenses
How to identify if schools are charging the right fees?
Majorly, two factors are the major contributor to fees. Salaries of teachers depend upon quality of teachers which in turn depends upon their years of experience and the schools they have previously taught at. You can especially look at principal, primary school coordinator, academic coordinator and hierarchy of senior teachers to get a hint of teacher quality. Hence, schools that have high quality of senior teachers are certainly going to have higher fees. Also, schools with better and grand infrastructure is again likely to charge more. If you see none of these to be true, then it is understood that the school doesn’t deserve the fees.
