Issues with modern day schooling finally leading to voices of discontent

After a widespread discontent shown by parents in Delhi, its turn of Noida/Greater Noida parents to raise their voices against the autocratic style of working of modern day schools.
Association of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida and Greater Noida) parents have come together to raise voices against issues with modern day schooling.
The most critical points being voiced are:

1. The un-justified and baseless fee hike every year. Schools are increasing fees by as much as over 10% every year.
2. Books beyond ones prescribed by concerned board are being promoted by schools. e.g. CBSE mandates usage of NCERT books from class I onward. However, schools are selling books other than the ones prescribed.
3. Uniform and books sold within school are being sold at higher than market rates.
   The association feels that while the schools have done little to improve infrastructure, schools still don’t leave any stones un-turned to hike fees.
4. Lack of regulatory body that could keep the school’s unfitting activities in check.

The parents have formed associations and groups on WhatsApp and Facebook to gather steam to the campaign.
Parents association had sent the following letter to the DM raising their concerns against the schools:

DM in response has sent a notification to school asking them to justify fees hike along with other items concerning parents:

However, DM has responded back stating that while they are seeking details of other aspects, 10% fees hike is inline with permissible limit. Post this statement from DM office, Parents association met DM office on Wednesday and conveyed that even 10% hike is not justified and is unacceptable given school spending only a penny on infrastructure improvement and child safety measures. DM is supposed to comment on this after talking to the concerned departments by end of this week.
