“EDUCATION” as it should be………
Education, if looked at beyond its conventional boundaries, forms the very essence of all our actions.
What we do is what we know and have learned, either through instructions or through observation
and assimilation. When we are not making an effort to learn, our mind is always processing new
information or trying to analyze the similarities as well as the tiny nuances within the context which makes the topic stand out or seem different. If that is the case then the mind definitely holds the potential to learn more, however, it is us who stop ourselves from expanding the horizons of our knowledge with self-doubt or other social, emotional, or economic constraints.
Our School believes that education leads to empowerment: a process of strengthening individuals,
organizations and communities so they get more control over their own situations and environment.
Quality education is a crucial factor in combating poverty and inequality in society. In providing
quality education, we at Manthan distinguish ourselves in six dimensions that all interventions of
the organization need to meet.
Six Crucial Dimensions of Quality Education
School refers to “all learners”. Equity in education means that personal and social circumstances
such as gender, ethnic origin or family background are not obstacles in achieving educational
potential and that all individuals reach at least a basic minimum level of skills. The school in
particular focuses on gender equity.
Contextualization and Relevance
Quality education cannot be based on a blueprint that is applicable in all situations. Solutions and
adaptations of education systems must be based on the real needs of a country and/or
community. To guarantee this, Manthan evaluates its interventions.
Child-friendly Teaching and Learning
Quality education puts the child in the centre and helps her/him to reach her/his full potential.
Quality Education requires children’s active participation.
Educational change processes, often need time to be realized. By enhancing the capacities of
local education authorities, we aim to institutionalize these processes.
Quality education aims at developing a balanced set of capabilities of children. They require
becoming economically productive, developing sustainable livelihoods, contributing to peaceful
and democratic societies and enhancing individual well-being.
After completing a certain level of education, children must have developed a minimum standard
of skills. Quality education requires a result-oriented approach.
Taking its name from the divine churning of the ocean, The Manthan School delves deep into the
ocean of knowledge, churning in the process, a vast repository of pedagogy that empowers its
students with the highest levels of learning, turning them into good students and pro-active
members of the society. What makes the world interesting are its people who turn ordinary
things into extraordinary. That is how we intend to make the learning process at Manthan.
Eco Friendly Green School
School should always walk hand in hand with a green and healthy environment, and this vision
can be seen with our architectural wonder that has been created for fueling our education system.
We always believe in an enriched habitat that can contribute towards the green revolution and
that can invent a much better and brighter future. Being a scholastic institution, it’s our utmost
responsibility to guide young minds towards the significance of a greener future. There are
numerous activities that have been done by the management to make the Manthan School a
planet friendly building.
Wherever education flourishes, we can expect great refinement in the civilization, attitudes,
social development and responsive administration. In modern times, we see far reaching impact
of education in all spheres of life and in all corners of the globe. There are revolutionary changes
in the understanding of nature and the truths of the universe. But in the evolutionary history of
education, right from Socrates to Galileo, many great intellectuals, scientists and philosophers
made great sacrifices in sticking to the truths they discovered. Only on the foundations of such
sacrifices and lifetime contributions of many great people, the education survived and evolved to
its present form. Thunderstorms were considered as the manifestations of the wrath of god but
science proved this theory wrong. They used to perform rituals to cure a snake bite instead of
taking proper medication or treatment. Educations have uprooted many such superstitions and
social maladies. The lives of many people have drastically changed for better due to the
education. Due to the increased awareness levels and progress in science there is an explosion of human population with improved quality of life and life spans. Education has the power to
change people’s lives.
Education plays its continuous role in all spheres of life. The reason being, that if we are aware
of the drawbacks of a decision and we know about the possible contingencies and the collateral
damage, our consequent actions would be wiser, which would help us to keep danger at bay at all
At Manthan we ensure a careful integration of academics and co-curriculum activity which
entail visual arts, (drawing, painting, printmaking, design, crafts & photography) performing
arts (theatre, music & dance) along with Edu.Sports, gymnastics & outdoor sports with a
balanced input of Life Skills to hone up presentation and communication skills.
Last but not the least we ensue and assure an all round development of the mind, body and soul.
