Noida Extension school survey 2017 consolidated rankings

This is in continuation to our previous article on school survey in the region. The Noida Extension school survey 2017 consolidated rankings are based on Survey conducted by Go4Reviews in association with SchoolBrainer.

The Survey took the following into consideration:

  1. Online survey conducted during period Nov-Dec’16
  2. Survey form submitted by schools (some schools didn’t respond to requests)
  3. Parents feedback and Desk Survey
  4. SchoolBrainer’s Social Sentiment Analytics

Survey Form and Parents Feedback and Desk Survey constituted 30% each while Online Survey and Social Analytics constituted 20% each.

The schools were surveyed on following parameters:

  1. Academics – Defined by academician/ teacher lineage, average experience level of teachers, criteria for employment.
  2. Individual attention to child – Defined by Student Teacher Ratio, Parents Feedback.
  3. Safety/Security – Defined by Safety measures at Gates, CCTVs, Floors, flooring/pool/play area safety, Parents Feedback.
  4. Infrastructure – Defined by facilities/amenities and quality of infra.
  5. Parents involvement – Defined by PTMs, Events where parents are invited and Parents Feedback.
  6. Co-curricular -Defined by Events conducted, Parents Feedback.
  7. Extra curricular -Defined by Events conducted, Play area infra, Parents Feedback.

The collective points were rounded off to nearest multiple of 5. Where the Total points for two or more schools were same, Schools that rank high on Academics was ranked higher overall.

Below are the consolidated rankings for the schools. Please note that there might be slight changes to the position provided Survey Forms are received from the remaining schools who did not respond initially. Also, on quarterly basis, we source data from Social sentiment analytics software that may lead to some changes in the rankings.

I went to pacific school for my child’s admission. the experience was good. infra is awesome and no other school has 15:1 student teacher ratio. so finally admitted her to nursery. any other parent who got child admitted to nursery this year?

Not sure why we are saying the ratio is 15:1 , they are having 30 kids is a class and keeping 2 teacher in classroom that you will find every school , so the ratio we saying 15:1 is actually 30:2.

I went to Pacific world school on Saturday. They are charging admission fees and tution fees. though it initially looked on higher side, after some deliberation, i realized its not actually costly. As per section 80C, we can claim tax deduction on only tution fee component and not on development charges and annual charges. So, assuming one saves 20%, the actual tution fees comes to 8.8k. Now lets say other school charges 7k per month as tution fees + 10k as annual charges + 5k as development charges. After tax deduction fees, becomes 5.6k. Add 1.4k for a month for annual + development charges. Which makes it 7k. Also, school is committing that except for books and uniform, not a single penny would be asked for during academic year. Means you save around additional 1k per month that you would spend otherwise. So, the difference is not much (max 10%). One shall hence judge schools on merit of staff and infrastructure which i found excellent for Pacific. Also went to Lotus valley but few are doubting the unpreparedness of school. Unfortunately, DPWS is bit far for me. So, pacific looks like a good option. If anybody here has got his/her child admitted in pacific, please advise.

Manthan school has mixed reviews from its first session. While some parents have reported improvement in ward’s confidence levels, others feel disappointed for missing out on proper infrastructure. Reviews about teaching staff have been mixed too.
Fees: Admission fees: N/A, Security charges: 10k, Annual charges: 6k, Tuition fees: 7k per month

I am moving from Bangalore to Noida extension. Being single mother, it was must to have a school that could offer individual attention to child. I chose Pacific mainly due to very low student teacher ratio. Also teachers being recruited are experienced. Infra is excellent. It would be a school to watch out for. Only DPWS and Lotus valley looked close but low student teacher ratio was the main reason for choosing Pacific. Hope the child’s future is in safe hands now.

There is lot of confusion between pacific, lotus valley and dpws. Dpws is established while other 2 schools have good lineage.

Lotus valley in Noida is considered very good from academics and exposure point of view. However, it has mixed reviews for junior classes. Many parents have raised concerns on individual attention not being offered to the child. You can expect something similar in Lotus valley here.
Pacific has one of the best planned infra and least student teacher ratio. Go for it you are looking for junior classes and can afford.
Else DPWS is probably the most value for money and established school in the region.

Depends upon multiple factors. I am assuming fees is not an issue for you:

      1) Academics wise – both are expected to be on same position.
      2) Individual attention wise – only 15:1 ratio in Pacific would be a plus.
      3) Safety and Security wise – Security wise same, Safety wise, individual attention may be good to have
      4) infra wise – Both at same level

Please see our list of upcoming schools and their rankings:

Finally chose DPWS after visiting all schools including new ones like pacific. They have the senior most faculty in entire Noida extension and hence an obvious choice for 6th class onwards. For junior classes, one should choose between DPWS and Sarvottam as these are established.

I visited all schools in Noida extension and really liked DPWS and Sarvottam the most. Sarvottam looked modern while DPWS has a traditional touch. DPWS is very ahead with so many events being conducted there. I am sure child can get good exposure there. They have also done well to improve image on child safety like the counsellor made me visit their emergency room with a senior doctor there. with 20 child in a class, it is having decent child teacher ratio just like Sarvottam. Teachers in DPWS are more senior though vision of Sarvottam is good too. I am now confused. DPWS or Sarvottam, please suggest.

This is a common question as these 3 are few of the best schools in the region. Sarvottam is more of a new age school with good student teacher ratio and good infra. Ryan is more traditional with high student teacher ratio. Delhi public world school has a good infra and a good student teacher ratio and good faculty. Academics wise, choice is between Ryan and DPSW. Otherwise, you need to choose between DPSW and Sarvottam for prelim classes.

Last year, Ryan reported the highest admission figures. However, parents reported varied degree of mismanagement during first few days. The student teacher ratio is higher in the school. If you are in a transferable job, benefit of Ryan is it allows transfers within school circle after 2 years.
On the other hand, post an unfortune incident, DPWS has improved a lot over last couple of quarters. Student teacher ratio is less and hence good. It stands out on faculty, infrastructure and student teacher ratio. DPWS has also started chain of schools in North, North West and East India. Hence, transfer to these would not be an issue.
However, there is nothing more important than parent’s comfort level. You must visit both the schools, talk to faculty and take a final decision accordingly.
