Parking space rules for group housing society in Noida/Greater Noida

As per the building bye laws in Noida and Greater Noida, following are the rules governing parking spaces in a group housing society:

  • At least one parking space per 80 square meter of permissible FAR constructed is mandatory. This would typically translate to approximately 12 parking spaces for 10 flats.
  • Ramps need to be provided for basement parking with sufficient slope.
  • Adequate fire safety, light, ventilation and air change through mechanical means shall be provided.
  • The basement may only be used for parking, services like fire rooms and storage of non-hazardous material.
  • Ideally, Parking space for cars can not be less than 20 square meters in open area and not less than 30 meters in basement/stilt area.
  • For scooters, the space has to be at least 3 square meters and 1.4 square meter respectively.

      Is there any mandate that 2/bhk should accompany 1 car larking and 3/bhk 2. How far is it true

        No such mandate from authority. From authority’s perspective, builder has to ensure at least one parking space for each flat.
